This problem comes from XMLmind XSL-FO Converter, the XSL-FO processor
which is used by ditac to convert DITA documents to RTF,
WordprocessingML, .docx and .odt.

It's technically impossible for XMLmind XSL-FO Converter to generate
page numbers. All this XSL-FO processor can do is insert ``fields''
which will instruct the target word processor (i.e. MS Word,
OpenOffice.org) to paginate the opened document in order to insert
proper page numbers.

This problem and its workaround are described in this FAQ:

``I use the page-number-citation object to print the number of pages in
my document, but the displayed value is always 0 when I load the
document in MS-Word. How can I get the correct value?''
