Dear Madams and Sirs, we own an XMLmind XSL-FO Converter Professional Edition license (license number fc-dev.RrEUKkn) and use the Java library in our product. We have a customer who would like to generate files that can be opened with Microsoft Word, preferably DOCX, that have protected areas which cannot be edited. We understand that this is currently not possible with XMLmind XSL-FO Converter.
If it is possible for you to develop an extension, probably using custom attributes in the XSL-FO file, that can generate DOCX files with protected areas, could you please send us an offer about it. We are interested in the cost and in the time it would take. We know that Microsoft Word offers many more options than just editable/not editable. It is possible to allow formatting only with certain styles, but prevent editing. We do not necessarily need such a detailed level of control, only editable and protected.
