Hi,

Thank you so much for the response.

Yes, I have already used the workaround you suggested for generated indented
headings in TOC. Our present concern is about updating the TOC when a new
section is added.

After seeing this mail, I would like to suggest this as a future enhancement of
this product. It will be really helpful if the tool could generate Word output
with named styles. If such styles are used, then the result Word document can
be used as a fully functional MS Word document. Not just updating the TOC, but
these styles will make a lot of difference in page numbering, providing a much
better look and feel. The input FO document will get much simplified, as we
need not specify complete presentation details in it.

Please let me know if this is not the right channel to submit the enhancement
request. I am hopeful that this feature can be implemented in near future.

With best Regards,
Uma Shankar

The XMLmind XSL-FO Converter engine does not allow to generate *named*
*styles* such as stock Microsoft styles "Heading 1", "Heading 2", etc.

However it is possible to specify the *outline* *level* of a fo:block in
order to use Word's document map, to let Word generate a Table of
Contents, etc.

This is done by the means of the xfc:outline-level extension attribute
(that is, this cannot be done using standard XSL-FO).

This attribute is documented here:
