The point of a toolbar is to have easy access to commonly > useful features without requiring a user to go into the menus. In recent years, more and more toolbar icons have been removed to keep the interface simple. Anyway, I closed this because we had 400+ open bug reports that no one wants to read anymore, so closing as many as possible seemed like a good idea. Feel free to reopen or to discuss elsewhere.
