I am running Xfce 4.12 on Mint, and really want to try out the latest version
of Thunar. Forgive me if I'm being naive, but the README in the tarball says to
refer to the INSTALL file for instruction on installation. However, I noticed
that the INSTALL file is in the .gitignore. I'm not sure if this is on purpose;
if so, very sorry for troubling you. I don't really know how to install it
myself, I'm a bit of a n00b.
