Bug ID: 15340
Summary: Laptop shuts down when battery hits about 2%, despite
there being no setting for it
Classification: Xfce Core
Product: Xfce4-session
Version: 4.12.0
Hardware: PC (x86_64)
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: Medium
Component: General
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: Xfce 4.14
Battery-powered laptop: while in Xfce, when the battery hits about 1 or 2 or 3
percent, it immediately starts shutting the system down. This is despite there
being no setting for it: in my Xfce Power Manager, critical power level is set
to 5% and is set to warn me with a message, which it does indeed. But there's
nothing about actions after that when it hits like 2% charge.
In the i3 window manager, and in the Linux console, the battery keeps going all
the way to zero percent until the battery physically has no more charge. Only
in Xfce it automatically shuts down the session without warning, despite there
being no setting.
