Screenshot
I have a notebook with an external monitor connected. The external monitor is
my main monitor ("BenQ"), and should be the primary monitor for Xfce. The
notebook monitor ("Laptop") is left of it.
When I configure the displays in Xfce Display Settings like that (BenQ right of
Laptop, BenQ primary), the panel appears on Laptop (see Screenshot). Only if I
put BenQ left off Laptop, the panel is shown on the BenQ monitor.
$ xrandr --listmonitors
Monitors: 2
0: +*DP-1 1920/477x1080/268+1280+0 DP-1
1: +eDP-1 1280/309x720/175+0+0 eDP-1
I will also attach ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/displays.xml
(Note in displays.xml, there's the test1 profile, which I cannot get rid of. I
already deleted the displays.xml while xfce4 was not running, but it's coming
again. Also the test1-profile should be monitor-wise identical to the default
profile, but it is not shown in the profiles list of the display settings.
Where is it coming from?)
I'm on Xubuntu 18.04 with Xubuntu Staging PPA enabled.
