Comparison with the option off (above) and on (below)
If you tick the option "Show frame", the right side of the rightmost icon in
the notification area is cropped, see the attached picture. As you can see, the
Network Manager icon's right side is cropped so it is impossible to see whether
the lock icon is displayed or not, so it is impossible to say if the VPN
connection is enabled or not.
