I'm not sure those features actually work under Xfce in any case. I know there's no updates indicator in Xfce. Also, I think PackageKit pulls in a bunch more gnome stuff we don't want/use. I also use yum (or dnf if I am feeling dangerous), but I think yumex is a better fit for our spin. kevin
