However, now 1.6.1 is out, along with a new exo and tumbler. Ideally we
would get these all in... They are bugfix releases with additional
translations and such.

As I wrote in other posts, at least for me system-config-date doesn't
open from the menu¹ and other apps have the same issue in an
installed system.
Yeah, I wonder if we should add those to our tracker, and/or just see
about fixing them.
Also, we might revert displaying the language chooser in Lightdm as
it's broken ATM and maybe set the auto-login time-out to zero.

I had read in the Xfce mailing list that it didn't work in Debian so I
checked and it really doesn't.
lightdm.log records the language setting but there's no difference in
the desktop.
