Ho Miro, your issue is no bug and not any crap. That's a systemd feature and an already upstreamed feature request for Xfce.
But be aware that there is a work around. It has been discussed already on this list and on the xfce upstream list. You can prevent systemd from taking power management action via the configuration file /etc/systemd/logind.conf : $ grep Handle /etc/systemd/logind.conf #HandlePowerKey=poweroff #HandleSuspendKey=suspend #HandleHibernateKey=hibernate #HandleLidSwitch=suspend Set the wished option to the "ignore" value after the = charachter and remove the comment marker #. For instance, HandleLidSwitch=ignore $ man logind.conf Look also at the following upstream bug report about systemd compatibility. https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9335 Greets, Raphael > Date: Thu, 3 Jan 2013 09:02:04 +0100 > From: Miro Hrončok <[email protected]> > To: Fedora users and developers <[email protected]> > Subject: F18: Sleep at closing the lid, regardless of my current > settings > Message-ID: > <cag7fsrsgrmuo2ygz0bv-zu43+yrsbsnz9m+xogsdqpz6ese...@mail.gmail.com> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 > > Hi, > > in Fedora 18, if I set in Power Manager: When on AC, when on battery > (both): When closing the lid: Do nothing [My system is localised, so > it might be diferent], it still suspends, when I close the lid.
