Can a chrome book be reformatted for Fedora/Xfce?

Hi All, Can a Chromebook, such as the Acer Chromebook C7 C710-2055, be reformatted for Fedora/Xfce?  (I suppose I would finally have to figure out how to boot off a USB stick.) Inquiring minds want to know. -T
