Aha! Many thanks!
I had taken the two choices shown to be all; this time I
discovered that unclicking one did not automatically click the other.
Again many thanks! Until I get a reliable workspace switcher, and
maybe even after, this is a real sine qua non for my efforts to get any
work done.
