I've been using it a long time instead of evince (with a short mupdf interlude which renders pdfs much faster and much better, however it does not have any gui...), because of the UI insanity that is happening with (almost) every gnome app. Atril is perfectly usable, works and I hadn't noticed any bugs in couple of years of daily usage.
