Check ~/.config/xfce4/mcs_settings/desktop.xml

Or that directory for settings related to the background.

If it's not there, maybe, just maybe ~/gtk-2.0 or gtk-3.0

You may also want to try installing "mlocate," and use the 'locate' command
with "wallpaper" or "background" and see what comes up for config files
