FWIW, I've been able to boot a Fedora LiveUSB on Apple hardware (Macbook Air from 2015, Pro from 2013) using just the `dd` method. I haven't tried `livecd-iso-to-disk` though.

Hi All,

Would you guys please fix this for me. I am coming across
a not inconsiderable number of new computers that have
"legacy" boot mode locked out. Plus it would be nice to
be able to boot an Apple.

# livecd-iso-to-disk --format --reset-mbr --efi --delete-home \
--home-size-mb 4095 --overlay-size-mb 4095 --unencrypted-home \
Fedora-Live-Xfce-x86_64-23-10.iso /dev/sdc

No BOOT*.efi found in eltorito image. EFI will not boot

Is that the error it gives you?

Can you try doing a 'dd if=Fedora-Live-Xfce-x86_64-23-10.iso
of=/dev/sdc' and see if that works?

Hi Kevin,

That is the error when you run the above script, not the
error when you boot.

"dd" works perfectly when you boot from a "legacy" BIOS.
I haven't tried it on a UEFI bios yet. I have a shot at
a customer's A-N-N-O-Y-I-N-G, please only boot Windows,
UEFI this afternoon. I will give it a test.

I would love it if there was a way to dual boot legacy and
UEFI.

Hi Kevin,

I tested in a customer's machine, which was $400 HP Desktop
with an inline power supply, without an internal power supply
(Desktop, not laptop). This el-cheap-o has the worst,
"how dare you boot anything other than Windows" UEFI BIOS
from h*** I have come across.

Setting the first boot device to the stick failed. But,
using the f key boot over ride worked.

So the problem here is "livecd-iso-to-disk", again. Man,
that thing has more bugs ...

Thank you for the help with this,
-T
