They would at least have /something/ on the screen.  If I were a newbie
I'd rather have to wrestle with Mozilla/Opera/Phoenix/Galeon/Konqueror
with ugly fonts while searching for info than having a text screen that
would be just as useful as a non-existent monitor ;)

(Yes, it's not a good solution - I suggested it partly as a provocation
and apparently it worked :) )

Much better idea - wasn't sure what people's opinion would be on fixing
what is actually not a documentation problem or configuration problem but
a user interface problem so I didn't dare go that far.
