I THINK THIS IS A BUG FROM XFREE
My Monitor switch off (go to standby mode) when I start Xfree86. This is my hardware system: XFree 4.2.99 snapshot Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 955b OS: Linux i386 GNU/Debian 3.0 Area: XSERVER VideoCard: ATI RAGE FURY PRO Chipset ATI Rage 128 RF(AGP) VideoRam 32798 Driver "r128" ans I tried "ati" With VESA driver it works. I tried many Modeline Config and the monitor even switch off..
