Hi,
I wonder if you could point me in the right
direction.
I have installed the mandrake 9.0
installation included with the November issue of APC magazine.
My installation went fine, however when I boot into
linux, Xfree fails to launch and I end up at the command line.
I have tried to reconfigure the screen using
XFdrake but my screen is not supported. I have tried various other similar
screens and drivers but nothing seems to work. The pc either crashes or the
following error occurs." (EE) screen(s) found,
but none have a usable configuration."
The Xfree version is Xfree86 4.2.1.
My monitor is a phillips LCD 15" 150B3
screen.
My mother board is an intel 845 chip set with an
onboard video driver.
Any help or advice of where to find help would be
appreciated.
Please remember I am an absolute Linux beginner so
any advice needs to be fairly straight forward.
