Greetings all, I have a problem with my X server setup which seems to be common looking round the net, but the solution still evades me...
I have my X server set up to serve clients on my LAN, we have 3 or 4 clients working happily, getting a login box from the X server using X -ac -query 192.168.0.42 However, we keep getting "XDM: too many retransmissions" and eventually, after a day or two, the X server closes the session with the message "Session declared dead" (both message appear on the console of the client machines. I am banging my head against the wall here as there is one client machine which does not have this problem, but its X server version and config files are identical to the rest of the clients! We are using X 4.2.1.1 on the server and clients. We have tried XDM and KDM, both give the same results.
