I don't know, and don't particularly care. Since the VBE version works does it really matter - they are just 3 ways of asking the monitor for the same information - as long as each one works or clearly fails, it isn't important which one worked. That version of the code was written for the original Millenium; I can give no good reason why it should work on the G550, but neither can I give a reason why it shouldn't. -- Dr. Andrew C.
