The display-corrupting problem that appeared in 4.2.99.4 (as I described at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00997.html) are still present in 4.3.rc1 .
However, I've tried using an older version of trident_drv.o from 4.2.99.3 , with the rest of the binaries from 4.3.rc1 . This does not suffer from the bug (the only bugs are the ones that occur when width > 384 - presumably memory limitations). So it seems that the thing that broke it must have been the change to trident_dac.c made at http://cvsweb.xfree86.org/cvsweb/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/drivers/trident/trident_dac.c.diff?r1=1.69&r2=1.70 This is meant to fix some thinkpad 760s (namely 760EL), but breaks mine (760ED). I know it's unlikely, but: is there anyone else with a thinkpad 760 that's noticed this problem? What exactly was this change meant to fix? Glyn -- There are pavements on New Inn Hall Street. Down both sides, in fact. _______________________________________________ XFree86 mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
