Hi,
I have two machines networked together.
One machine is called server.laurie.com
The other is called workstation.laurie.com
The host file of both machines looks like the following:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.1 server.laurie.com server
192.168.1.2 workstation.laurie.com workstation
I can ping both ways from either of the two machines
Server has Mandrake 8.2 (It does not have a DVD reader and I only have
Mandrake 9.1 on DVD)
Workstation has Mandrake 9.1 (Workstation has a DVD reader)
As I understand it if I do the following:
At the machine called server alter the Xaccess file:
So that CHOOSER BROADCAST has a # in front of it
Delete the # from %hotlist workstation
At the machine called workstation
Start xdm
Now if start x from the server.laurie.com I should get xdm from
workstation.laurie.com
But I don't I still get xdm from server.laurie.com even though I have told
it to access it from workstation.
