Hi,
I am using XFree86 4.2.99 and facing some problems in using keyboard and mouse. My hardware have 2 PS/2 ports. These PS/2 ports I can use only the keyboard (in non-X environment). If I want to use mouse with my system, I have to use the splitter cable with the PS/2 port and have to connect the keyboard and mouse together. This configuration works well and I can use mouse and keyboard together as long as I am using the splitter cable. But if I use the system with ONLY connecting the keyboard to one of the PS/2 ports or to the splitter cable, the keyboard is not working from the X. (But it works in the non-X mode). But at the same time, if I am using ONLY the mouse using the splitter cable, I can use mouse from the X.

Since my hardware do not have any PS/2 mouse port, I am using /dev/psaux as the driver for the mouse ( I am attaching my XF86Config-4 file). I tried to change the corepointer device to the usb mouse and set the 'Send core events' to the PS/2 mouse, but it was not helpful in solving the problem. Also tried the 'Always Core' option and that too was not helpful.

I do not want to disable the mouse device permanently. But at the same time, I want to use only the keyboard some times. Is there any way that I can use only the keyboard from this environment. Should I have to add any other parameters to my XF86Config file ? Anybody can help me in this matter? I am attaching my XF86Config-4 file.

Thanks in advance
Sudheer
