hi folks,

i just downloaded the new 4.3.0 code an compiled and installed it on my
redhat 8.0 machine without any problems.
my video card has a radeon 7000 ve chip with two monitor (crt)
connectors. dual head support works, i am using it with xinerama turned
on. but now the problem:
although i am using linux 98% of the time, unfortunatly i have to use
windows sometimes. regardless what version of windoze i am using my
"better" monitor is used an recognised as the primary monitor i.e. there
the login screen appears. when booting linux the text screen appears
immediatly on both monitors but then the login screen appears on my
"older" monitor. using gonme i am able to use panels, in their
properties i can choose the "current screen", and my "better" one is
listed as "1", the "older" as "0". -> the other way round than in
windows. as windows has no option to change the order for the login, i
tried to change it in linux. i tried out any combination in the section
"serverlayout" (with different "leftof"/"rightof" and screen "starts"),
an (i think) all combinations of identifiers (means "screen0" <->
"screen1", ...) in sections "monitor", "device" and "screen" but all
these had no effect at all!
so my question: what do i have to do to change the order??

any hints much appreciated!

attached is my /etc/X11/XF86Config

thanx
