Dear Sir, I have installed a Redhat Linux
v V.8 and the installation is performed well without problem. However, when I
re-boot the linux system, I find that there is not display at last, meaning
that at first, there is booting up services but at last, a blank screen appears.
Action I did: 1.
Press
ctrl-X to boot up to text mode, but finally the display blanks without any
signal ( the green LED turns to orange LED.) 2.
Same
situation when I boot from GUI mode. Would you mind telling me
how to solve the problem? My system configuration: 1.
128MB RAM, 2. 5XX MHz CPU Celeron, 3. Matrox millennium card ( I don’t
know which model no. is. ) 4. Topcon LCD Monitor Horizontal Frequency set:
31-61 kHz Vertical Frequency set:
55-76 kHz Do I need to download a LCD
monitor driver? Your prompt reply is greatly
appreciated. Regards Raymond |
