Even with 8 bpp I dont get the thing to work... the only difference is
that the graphics card somehow sends out nonsense and the monitors turn
off. ctrl+alt+backspace has no effect, but the machine works (can reboot,
ls -lR / and similar stuff without using the monitor :p ).
I even tried switching back to a non-fb kernel, but get exactly the same
behaviours....
will I have to change graphics card?!??
