I was assuming that you were running 4.3.0. Eric A. is the maintainer for the FreeBSD port, but he is trying to get 4.3.0 out for the 4.8 release, so he is probably not interested in 4.2 patches any longer. If you built from ports, you should have 4.2.1 which I run on a dual head Matrox with no problems. (In fact, I am using it to send this message.) I use portupgrade to keep my ports up to date and use the '-DWITH_MATROX_GXX_DRIVER' option to make by entering it into /usr/local/etc/pkgtools.conf. It builds with the sources in mgadrivers-2.0-src.tgz. I don't see why your results were different. Very weird! I am baffled as to why your results are different. It is nice that the XFree86 driver binaries are OS independent so that they work on both Linux and FreeBSD. R.
