I must be doing something really stupid, being a
newbie and all. I've got a SIS 650GL onboard graphics chipset on a
Gigabyte motherboard. I'm running SUSE 8.0 with XFree86 3.2.99 I
think. When running the graphical setup I get multiple ghost screens
overlapping each other making it impossible to see anything. When using
the text setup version I don't see any drivers for the SIS 650GL chipset.
The generic SIS driver works but the resolution is crummy at best and fonts are
terrible.
Could someone please give the "dummies guide" type
of advice to setting up the SIS 650GL. And getting the "graphical" version of
the setup program to run properly.
