When installing Linux Mandrake 9.0 I receive an error in the final installation step
before choosing the monitor type that Xserver package did not install properly or
there was an error during package installation. Then all i get on reboot is a command
line and subsequent attempts to start the Xserver from the command line as a local
user and as root result in the errors presented in the /var/log/XFree86.0.log file.
