Uuuughhh.., thats wrong :-)

Look here:
http://deimos.one.pl/ftp/radeonfb/

(it's works fine with 2.4.20-ac2, because there're some "hacks" in radeonfb,
DRM, etc... {you don't need to change /dev/ttyX after setting something on
/dev/fb0, or even using fbi - the screen is refreshing automaticly, slowly but
in right way.})

So it's probably the VIA-KT-266, so your radeon_rv250{reversion: I{d|e|f|g}}
will supose to work fine with:
http://cpbotha.net/files/dri_resume/radeon-cpbotha-20030302-linux.xfree86-4.3.0.i386.tar.bz2

There's DRM (to change kernel CONFIG_DRM_RADEON module) and DRI to replace
libGL.so :-)

Od CVS version of DRM (1.8.0):
http://cpbotha.net/files/dri_resume/radeon-cpbotha-20030302-linux.DRI.i386.tar.bz2

P.S. To see what your card is, make:

.~. # lspci | grep ATI
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 If [Radeon
9000] (rev 01)
01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 [Radeon 9000]
(Secondary) (rev 01)
.~. #

.~. # dmesg | grep radeon
radeonfb: ref_clk=2700, ref_div=12, xclk=20000 from BIOS
radeonfb: MTRR enabled
radeonfb: ATI Radeon 9000 If DDR SGRAM 64 MB
radeonfb: DVI port no monitor connected
radeonfb: CRT port CRT monitor connected
[drm] Initialized radeon 1.7.0 20020828 on minor 0
.~. #

.~. # cat /proc/fb
0 Radeon 9000 If
.~. #

Good luck :-)
