Sir,
While logging as a user and issuing the command as startx I get the following error over RH 7.3. I would like to add that I am able to run startx as root user but not as a other user. I am also able to run startx in graphical mode ie. runlevel 5 but not in runlevel 3 (text mode login)
Please help me a solution to get rid of this problem.
The error goes like this while issuing startx as stated above :
Fatel Server error :
can not open log file "var/log/Xfree86.0.log"
When reporting the problem related to the server crash, please send the
full report problems to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
giving up
Xinit : no such file or directory (error 2 ) : unable to connect to X server
Xinit : no such process (error 3) : server error.
