Is what has happened is somehow the font "fixed" has been lost, and it will not start without it. I am trying to find the RPM that contains it right now. I am using Mandrake 9.0 if anyone knows where to get it or which RPM from the disk to use.

I believe you can also give options like "startx kde" to start kde, but if it doesn't work look at the manpages( man startx en press q to leave the manpage) Matt Mahoney wrote: >Do you by chance know the command to start it?
