Reports on the web indicated that proper support for this rounded out in the kernel at 2.4.18, to the point that things were stable. Tests with enabling the right kernel pieces in 2.4.16 verified this, and it seemed that Emporer Linux's 2.4.18 backed this up. It's probably feasible to patch things up and/or build extra components for XFree86 to properly support the card, but there wasn't enough support time to follow this path out, especially since we had determined it wasn't a significant issue. If Emporer Linux has a path to get everything working with 2.4.16, by all means, go for it. > > Thanks, > Doug Broadwell -- Matt Sherer FSMLabs, Inc. http://www.fsmlabs.com/ _______________________________________________ XFree86 mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xfree86
