I don't know about the G450, but the G400 definitely did not
support 8+24 mode on the second head. It didn't even support
depth 8 on the second head or gamma correction or DirectColor
visuals or hardware cursor.
Ebgert (or Andrew?) is working on a way to emulate PseudoColor
with DirectColor so you can run simultaneous depth 8 and depth
24 windows on the screen if you don't care about the overlay
functionality (ie. color key and multiple layers). But that
would require DirectColor capability, which the G400 didn't
have on the second head.
