Versions 4.0.2 thru 4.2, Vendor contributed driver for Silicon Magic Lynx3DM4.
When X is stopped, such as on shutdown, system freezes. Only recourse is to shut
off system power.
Also occurs when switching between X and any console (ctrl-alt-Fn keys).
Occurence is frequent, intermittent. If system freezes while X display is still
open, screen turns blue or magenta with IBMPC graphics characters displayed.
More likely to occur the longer system is up.
Infrequently occurs when X restarts on user logout.
There is no log or other record when it occurs.
System is HP Pavilion N3390 notebook. No problems observed with v3.x which has
no specific driver for chip.
