As Mark already pointed it, you don't have a /etc/X11/XF86Config
file. 
You did read /usr/X11R6/bin/README after installing, did you ?
You should make a configuration file for your X server. 
Instructions on how to do that are in this file.

The OpenBSD-current snapshots from ftp.openbsd.org include XFree86
4.3.0. But you don't need to upgrade, as your card is already
supported by 4.2.1.
