I used the Debian Configuration Tool debconf to create the XF86Config-4 file. During the configuration I said that I use an LCD-Monitor. Also I tried using the XServer saying the monitor was a CRT. Both returned the same problem. The only real Error mesage from the server was
(WW) VESA(0): Failed to set up write-combining range (0xff880000,0x200000) (WW) VESA(0): Failed to set up write-combining range (0xff800000,0x280000) virtual address = 0x40264000 - physical address = 0xff800000 - size = 2621440 (==) VESA(0): Default visual is TrueColor (==) VESA(0): Backing store disabled (**) Option "dpms" (**) VESA(0): DPMS enabled (WW) VESA(0): Option "UseFBDev" is not used. Also interesting ist that when I state at bootup the vga=773 option to LILO the VESA dirver works without problem and the colors are ok. greetings Jan. -----Ursprungliche Nachricht----- Von: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Auftrag von [EMAIL PROTECTED] Gesendet: Montag, 23.
