You'll use the mount command to access the floppy. The floppy should have a FAT(standard DOS) type filesystem on it. Don't use the NTFS because writing to that is still flaky AFAIK.
"mount /dev/floppy" will probably just work. If not, read the man page and try stuff out. http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man8/mount.8.html an online version of the man page for mount.
