Hello:

I upgraded from Redhat 7.3 to 9.0 a little while ago. I can't believe that they don't give you an option to test your Xconfiguration like they did on previous versions. Anyway, since I didn't save the old X configuration file, and since there doesn't appear to be a configuration tool I can run from the basic prompt, I'm in a jam.

I have an Inspiron 8000 lap top and don't have the manuals, so I don't know the refresh rates or native resolution of the monitor. Do you have any advice? Is there a configuration tool I can run, so I won't have to live through an entire install to test the configuration? I tried XFree86, but that doesn't help.

Thanks,
B. Henderson
