Hi all,
A few days ago I bought a 4CD pack Redhat Linux 9
Power unleashed in the book store.
After installing Linux the X-server couldn't
start.
First I got the message: x-spawning too fast.
Disable after 5 minutes. My monitor got "flashing".
On my Compaq laptop RH Linux9 works
fine!
My hardware consists of the
following:
AMD Athlon XP1800+
256 SDRAM memory
Diamond Stealth II S220 with rendition verite 2100
video chipset.
MSI K7T Turbo2 motherboard with VIA KT133A
chipset.
Can you help me with a good workaround in
XF86Config for this hardware combination?
My XF86Config file has no "Modeline" lines at
all.
Is this causing the problem?
Is the "vga" driver right for this video
card?
I would preciate your help!
