Dear Sir or Madam,
I am trying to run Cadence on a remote Solaris machine and export the
display back to my dual-head Linux system. Short of running the Linux
machine at 8bit color depth, I can not get Cadence to run. The error
message I get is:
"Failed to find 8-plane PseudoColor visual" I am looking for solutions to
this. Any help getting me the 8bit pseudoColor added to my configuration
would be greatly appreciated.
When I run a xdpyinfo, I notice that only one color depth is available,
the color set in my "DefaultDepth" line in my XF86Config. When I try to
run Xnest with the "-depth 8" option, all I get is:
"Fatal server error:"
"Unable to find desired default visual."
