[XFree86] query

sir, i have a problem in my linux 9 xwindow installation. linux is 
not being installed in xwindow and is showing my vga as 
'unsupported vga compatible'. so i am unable to run startx utility 
in my linux. but it working well in shell prompt. i hope to get a 
quick response in this regard.
