I've recently acquired a Dell laptop with a GeForceFX Go 5650. I'm unable to make it work with xfree86 and nvidia binary drivers. I've read in a message in another forum that this chipsets are unsuportted by nvidia (the drivers didn't complain about anything).
Does anybody can shed some light on this support from NVIDIA? Is the chipset going to be unsupported for ever or is it just that they haven't released support for it yet?
The current status of my install is that the server runs and GDM too, XFree doesn't complain about anything and seems to draw things, but the screen shows strange gradiented images with interlaced post drug-ingestion effects. May it only be that i should configure my lcd monitor better? the resolution for this monitor is 1680x1050 and i've added a modeline entry for it, and set as only possible mode...
