[XFree86] Bad Window

I have technical problems with Xterms. When I�m changing the value of some 
structural parameters of Molden (a program to show molecules), with certain 
files (no all)  the program closes and I obtain this error:

X Error of failed request:  BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
 Major opcode of failed request:  2 (X_ChangeWindowAttributes)
 Resource id in failed request:  0x0
 Serial number of failed request:  5893
 Current serial number in output stream:  5894
