Hi, I am developing embedded hardware on a custom linux running XFree86 3.3.6 on a 2.4.18 kernel.
I have a SiS550 (not supported in 3.3.6) that is vesa compliant. I have built the vesa framebuffer drivers into the kernel. I am using XF86_FBDev as my X server. I use an LCD which is working fine at the console with the vesa frambuffer drivers in 800x600. However I do not know how to figure out how to set the right modeline for my LCD? Any help on setting the right modeline for an LCD would be greatly appreciated!
