Hello All,

I frequently set up gnu/linux boxes networked together, and using X -query
<ipaddress>. With older versions of XF86 this was never any problem. But with
the XF864.x versions, more often than not I get MIT-magic cookie rejected:
e.g.

Auth name: MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 ID: -1
AUDIT: Wed Mar 24 13:28:58 2004: 2722 X: client 1 rejected from IP
192.168.72.45 port 33554

rebooting the client (ie the one doing the X -query) often (but not always)
works, and I know that if I set up /home via NFS on 192.168.72.45 this will
solve the problem, but I don't want to do this for various reasons.

Ideally I'd like to be able to turn the MIT-magic cookie off. how can i do
this? (no clues in man pages, or on internet :-( )

many thanks

max
