Which drivers and cards are capable of sync on green and what do I need to achieve it?
I've put the ``Option "SyncOnGreen"'' in the Monitor section. Do I need a separate csync option somewhere? Browsing the source it seems not every driver implements this. I have a choice of three graphics cards: 0000:02:0b.0 Display controller: Texas Instruments TVP4010 [Permedia] (rev 01) 0000:02:0a.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage I/II 215GT [Mach64 GT] (rev 41) 0000:01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Matrox Graphics, Inc. MGA G400 AGP (rev 04) >From the source it looks like the only one that actually implements SyncOnGreen is the MGA driver. That kind of sucks because I really don't want to give up the good graphics card for my main monitor. Is there any way to get sync on green using either of these other cards? Maybe a jumper? What other inexpensive cards that I might find in a bargain bin are capable of sync-on-green? This is all to try and get a Sun 1662b monitor working. I think I have a few reasonable modelines constructed from the available information on the net. I'm not entirely clear how to allocate time between the sync pulse and front and back porches though.
