Hello, Directly after installing Vector LInux 4.0 SOHO on my pc I got the folowing problem after startx:
......Required symbol of xf8612CGetScreenBusses from module /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/atimisc_drv.o is unresolved Fatal server error. some required symbols were unresolved. .................. XIO fatal input error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on Xserver ":0.0" after 0 req.....0...0.. As asked I hereby report this. I would be very gracefull if you could help me. Some details: Compaq; ATI; 96 Mb; no sound card; Pentium II; ext3; KDE; XFree86 4.3.0; no knowledge of linux (I was told it is easy); with XIconset the message: "you should have prepared some themes at /home/...etc, etc." came. I am not sure this was ok.
