Hello, I just installed XFree86 Version 4.4.0 cleanly on a RedHat 8.0 based linux-GNU machine. Build Operating System: Linux 2.6.10 i686 [ELF] gcc-3.4.3, glibc-2.3.3 xterm XFree86 4.3.99.903(184) Problem: When invoking 'xterm' I get Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged Warning: locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default
Also, when running a qt (3.3.4) application (say, examples/hello) I get a similar message, "Qt: Locales not supported on X server" (QT calls 'XSupportsLocale()' which most likely answers in an unfriendly manner.)
